Botox® And Dysport®

Ideal if you have:
Frown lines between the eyebrows that give the appearance of a permanent scowl, crow's feet around the eyes, a dimpled or cobblestoned chin, and (less commonly) Botox® and Dysport® can be used to correct “bunny lines” on the nose—the downward turning of the corner of the lips that comes with aging—and lines on the neck.

HOW IT WORKS:
Botox® and Dysport® are the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States. They can be performed in just a few minutes, with results in 24 to 48 hours. The muscles of the face repeatedly contract and tighten over time, and this can cause wrinkles. Botox® and Dysport® work by blocking the signal from the nerve to the muscles, resulting in the reduction of muscle activity which in turn reduces the appearance of wrinkles and the formation of lines that form over time. As the muscles relax, skin becomes smoother and deep lines begin to fill in with repeated treatments.

Both Botox® and Dysport® are safe and FDA-approved. The best way to ensure you receive the results you are looking for is to only receive injections from a highly experienced provider, such as Dr. Sullivan. Dr. Sullivan will typically numb the area to be treated with an anesthetic cream prior to treatment to reduce any discomfort. You will be able to return to work within minutes after treatment. The differences between Botox® and Dysport® are subtle and the effects vary between treatment areas and among patients. Botox® Hyperhidrosis

Ideal if you have:
Excessive sweating of the underarms or hands that interferes in your daily life or causes stress and discomfort.

HOW IT WORKS:
This FDA-approved treatment blocks nerve impulses to the sweat glands in underarms and hands to stop the site from producing sweat. During this 10 to 15 minute procedure, Dr. Sullivan administers several injections to the affected area.

RESULTS INCLUDE:
While not a permanent solution to excessive sweating, most patients enjoy results for more than 6 months. In many cases, Botox® for Hyperhidrosis is covered by a patient’s health insurance.

Jeuveau

IDEAL IF YOU HAVE:

Jeuveau™ is a modern-made neurotoxin that is safe and approved by the FDA to temporarily improve the appearance of frown lines. It is similar to Botox® and Dysport®, but Jeuveau™ is the first and only product of its kind dedicated exclusively to aesthetics, and it is the only new neurotoxin in almost a decade. HOW IT WORKS:
Juvederm Volbella® XC is a very soft filler approved for use in the lips and to fill and plump the fine lines around the lips. It can also be used to restore lost volume in fine lines anywhere in the face for more a youthful, fresher appearance. Since it is a very soft filler, it can placed superficially to restore lines that were previously untreatable. Juvederm Volbella® XC is a gel-like substance composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally exists in the body. Within the human body, hyaluronic acid is found between the cells, where it provides skin with its suppleness and flexibility. As we age, our body’s own natural levels of hyaluronic acid decrease. This natural decrease in hyaluronic acid, combined with other factors, results in the appearance of wrinkles over time.

Treatment with Juvederm Volbella® XC replaces the lost hyaluronic acid, restoring the lost volume to smooth wrinkles and lines and adding fullness and/or volume. There are minimal risks associated with dermal fillers, most of which can be avoided by choosing an experienced injector, such as Dr. Sullivan.

Kybella®

Ideal if you have:
A stubborn double chin but are not interested in surgery. Over a series of injections, Kybella®
will correct moderate to severe fat beneath the chin and neck area that you’d like removed, without the necessity of surgery.

HOW IT WORKS:
Kybella® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment to remove the appearance of a “double chin.” Its active ingredient is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule produced by the body that physically destroys fat cells. Once they are destroyed they are then unable to store or accumulate fat. Kybella® is administered as a series of injections to the desired treatment area every 4-6 weeks until the desired effect is achieved. Most patients do well after 3-6 treatments.

Ideal if you have:

Sculptra®

Ideal if you have:
Deep wrinkles and loss in facial volume due to aging, and would like to restore skin’s structure and firmness for a more youthful appearance.

HOW IT WORKS:
Sculptra® is an injectable liquid containing micro-beads of poly-L-lactic acid, the same material that some absorbable sutures are made of. When these micro-beads of poly-L-lactic acid are injected into the skin they are slowly absorbed and result in the formation of new collagen by the body. Once injected, Sculptra® works deep within the skin to stimulate your skin’s own collagen production to increase overall facial volume. Generally, Sculptra® is administered as a series of three sets of injections over a 3 to 4 month period and results in a gradual restoration of dermal fullness. Sculptra® is used to add natural-looking volume to areas of the face. It is best for adding volume to hollow cheeks, softening cheekbones, filling nasolabial folds, hollow chins, undefined jawlines, hollow temples, and some body sites.

Sculptra® is different from Juvederm®/Restylane® in that it adds volume to the face and fills grooves and hollows. It is generally more lifting and better for the aging face that has wrinkles created by loss of volume. Juvederm® and Restylane® fill specific wrinkles and lines. Filler choice depends on a number of factors such as the location and depth of the wrinkle and/or defect, the desired degree of correction, and the age of the patient. RESULTS INCLUDE:
Fuller looking, firmer skin. With increased collagen production, skin looks visibly younger and deep wrinkles are diminished. Results can last up to two years.

Daxxify™

If you use wrinkle-relaxing injections like Botox®, you probably love your results but not the appointments to maintain them. Daxxify™ gives you longer-lasting results, so you need fewer treatments. Unlike its relatives, which last three to four months, Daxxify™ can last an average of six months.

How Does Daxxify™ (Botulinum Toxin) Work?

What Results Will I See With Daxxify™?

The results of neuromodulators take time to appear as the treatment starts to work on the nerves. Most people see results starting within two to three days however full results take 14 days.
