What Is Daxi?
Daxi is the newest neuromodulator on the U.S. market. Currently available neuromodulators include Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. All currently available neuromodulators work by relaxing the muscles beneath your skin to release the tension which causes wrinkles.
Currently, Botox and Dysport are the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States. Treatments with Daxi are just like treatments with these products. Treatment is performed in just a few minutes, with results in several days. The muscles of the face repeatedly contract and tighten over time, and this can cause wrinkles. Daxi works by blocking the signal from the nerve to the muscles, resulting in the reduction of muscle activity which in turn reduces the appearance of wrinkles and the formation of lines that form over time. As the muscles relax, skin becomes smoother and deep lines begin to fill in with repeated treatments.
Daxi has the same main ingredient as Botox but unlike Botox it also contains a proprietary peptide stabilizer to make the medication work longer.
For years Botox and Dysport have been the gold standard neuromodulators. Xeomin and Jeuveau are more recent additions to the neuromodulator field and while each of these products has been found to be effective by the FDA, none have set themselves apart as being superior in terms of longevity of results.
The Daxi Difference
Daxi has established itself as a superior product in terms of the duration of treatment response. In clinical studies, the wrinkle-reducing results of Daxi have been shown to last an average of 24 weeks, or 6 months, for treated patients. The average for the other agents from Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau is in the 12 to 18 weeks range.
That means you would only need to undergo TWO injectable treatments with Daxi in one year to maintain your results.
In addition to proving a longer-lasting alternative to Botox injections, Daxi has boasted a 95 percent response rate in the largest aesthetic neuromodulator clinical trial ever performed. Daxi is FDA approved for treatment of the frown lines between the eyebrows that give the appearance of a permanent scowl. But like the other neuromodulators, Daxi can also be used to treat crow’s feet around the eyes and to smooth the forehead. Daxi offers rapid results with very little risk, and improvement is seen within days and can last 6 months. As the product wears off, muscle action returns gradually. The previously treated lines and wrinkles may then begin to reappear and will need to be treated again. With repeated treatment, the lines and wrinkles often appear less severe than before. Most patients find that as they begin to do Neurotoxins like Daxi on a regular basis the results begin to last longer.
